_10 lifted mixed program

This block is situated on a hill, atop a commercial mall. The residential block is positioned on the hill, above the commercial spaces. The development consists of several buildings, each with distinct programs. The commercial building, located in the plinth, is positioned along the busy street, while above it, a park is created with trees and plants interspersed between the residential buildings.

The residential units can be accessed both through the mall and from a higher level of the mountain, directly from the street. To facilitate movement between the buildings and various levels, a network of stairs and pathways connects the spaces.

This design is an ideal example of utilizing the bustling street for commercial purposes while preserving the quieter, elevated mountain side for residential use, offering expansive views over the river. Because the buildings are strategically placed on the hillside, the views from the residential units are maximized, enhancing the living experience.

Lesson learned

Utilising the elevation differences, both the mountainous terrain and variations in traffic, to separate commercial uses from quiet residential areas.
